How to be more confident
This post is all about how to be more confident.
Confidence is the key that unlocks doors to personal and professional success - so who doesn't want a little extra boost of that!?
Today we're going to be talking about actionable strategies and mindset shifts that will empower you to become more confident and truly live your best life!
How to become more confident:
Step 1 - Self Acceptance
True confidence begins with self-acceptance. Acknowledge your strengths, embrace your flaws, and recognize that imperfections are part of being human.
If you're someone who deals with self hatred, go to counseling and work through any trauma that may be causing you to hate yourself.
Sometimes its only when we deal with the demons in our life that we're able to move forward. Conquering personal things is one way to gain huge confidence and I promise you'll see breakthrough in other areas too!
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 2 - Positive affirmations
Start every morning looking in the mirror and saying nice things to yourself! This would include affirmations like, "I am beautiful, I am capable, I am enough, I am strong, I am confident, I am important."
Its amazing the power for speaking OUT LOUD over yourself. Give it a try and you'll know what I mean. Do this every day and you'll be surprised at how you think about yourself changes!
The goal here is to get to the point where you look in the mirror and like the person you see!
When you start accepting and valuing yourself, you'll notice things will shift in your relationships as well.
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 3 - Self Talk
Start becoming aware of your self talk. You know, that narrative about yourself that constantly going on inside your head.
Let's be honest, we're so much harder on ourselves than we are to anyone else.
It's time to alter yourself talk and elevate your life. You can no longer allow yourself that negative self talk. If it's not something you want someone to say to you, then you shouldn't be saying it to yourself.
Being intentional with your self talk is one way to intentionally strengthen your inner self and gain new self confidence.
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 4 - Hygiene
Hygiene!
Make sure you're taking care of yourself by showering, brushing your teeth and getting ready every morning. I feel so much more blahhh on the days I skip my morning routine.
Keeping on top with your hygiene is just one other way you can care for yourself and put yourself in a position ready to conquer the day.
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 5 - Move Every Day & Nourish Your Body
Move every day!
Whether this means going on a walk, doing a 30 min yoga workout on youtube or hitting the gym, I always feel more confident when I am moving my body regularly.
It's been scientifically proven that working out makes you happier and if you're happier you're also more confident!
If you're working out regularly, nutrition is also key. It's important to nourish your body and refuel to power your body for the day.
Fill your meals with lots of fresh fruits veggies balanced with protein and you'll start feeling great.
One of my favorite post workout meals is an Oola bowl. Its basically frozen acai with peanut butter, fruit, and granola.
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 6 - Pamper yourself
This is your official sign to go pamper yourself!
Get your hair and nails done or go get a facial. Invest in the skincare and makeup products you use every day to make yourself feel beautiful and put together no matter the occasion.
Buy a few new pieces for your wardrobe so you can go out of the house feeling great!
HOW TO BECOME MORE CONFIDENT:
STEP 7 - Your Circle
Surround yourself with positive role models and friends. It's been said that, "You become like the people you surround yourself with." So choose carefully.
Take a look at your circle and determine if anything needs to change.
You want people around you who are also doing great things with their life, will encourage you and build you up and also will challenge you to be better.
Annnnd that pretty much wraps it up!
I promise you, if you follow these steps routinely, you'll start feeling more confident and will see other areas of your life come into alignment as well.
It's the daily habits and small everyday decisions that shape your life and ultimately help you conquer your goals and achieve your dreams!
