5 Tips For Healthy Hair
This post is all about 5 life changing tips for healthy hair!
If you're looking to improve the health of your hair, this post is for you! Wether you have long hair, short hair, curly hair, strait hair or anything in between, we're all looking to keep our locks in the best shape possible!
1. Hair Masks
1st things first! I recommend doing a mask for your hair every week or two. Just like masks are recommended for your face, masks for your hair are just as helpful and essential to keep your hair moisturized healthy and strong.
There are tons of different masks available depending on your hair needs.
Bond Building Hair Masks
If you're like me, and you highlight your hair, its incredibly important that you use a bond building mask. Highlighting your hair actually strips your hair on a molecular level so its important that you prioritize building the hair strands back up after the damage.
The Olaplex bond builder is amazing for restoring bonds especially for highlighted hair.
The IGK mask works great for dry hair. It build up your bonds and add moisture to your hair at the same time!
Living Proof Triple Bond Hair Mask
As a personal favorite, I can say this living proof mask really works. It has been scientifically proven to make hair 8x stronger and also protects against heat damage which is a win win!
Hair Masks for Dry Hair
This hair mask has raving reviews and does exactly what it says it does! It is incredibly hydrating and helps heal dry and damaged hair.
Need something for dry damaged hair? With this mask, think moisture and repair with a bonus of being vegan, cruelty free with no sulfates, parabens or phthalates.
Mask For Curly Hair
This mask encourage hair strength and hair growth. While it is great for curly hair, it is also was designed to work for all hair types.
This mask is made specifically for my curly haired girls! It is deeply penetrating, intensive, and guaranteed to prevent breakage, repair damage and enhance growth.

3. Hair Protection
Heat Protectants
I'm linking some game changing heat protectants for you!
Silk Pillowcase
Another way you can protect your hair is the way you handle it every day. I recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase. This has been game changing for my hair. Ever since switching over to a silk pillowcase I wake up with so much less frizz every morning. Here's the exact pillowcase I use!
The Wet Brush
Okay, I know you've all heard, "don't brush your hair when it's wet." Well, if you're like me, you don't have the time to be combing out your hair after a shower for hours haha!
The good news is, I have a solution for you that is both time efficient and wont damage your hair.
I have this exact brush and I am obsessed! I use it every day on my wet hair and it does not cause any damage.
4. Hair Detangler
If there's one thing I've learned, its this. Don't be afraid to use a little detangler now and then. There is no sense tearing through tangles when you have the option to use a detangler. Its a simple and easy solution to preserve your hair for the long run. Here's a few amazing detanglers for you to choose from depending on your hair type.
The Tangle Teaser
I use this brush literally ever day to get my tangles out. I love that it is small and fits in the palm of your hand and also super portable and easy to pack if you're going away!
5. Vitamins
I know it sounds pretty obvious, but if you're healthy on the inside, you're going to see it on the outside. There are two vitamins that have literally transformed my skin and hair. A prenatal and a hormone balance vitamin.
Okay...let me put a little disclaimer in here. I am not a licensed medical professional so please dont take this as medical advice. I'm just speaking from personal experience and will only recommend what has worked for me!
With the fast paced life that we all live, I know from personal experience, its so easy to slack when it comes to food. However, nourishing our bodies is so important and should not be overlooked. No matter how busy we get. Taking vitamins does not substitute for eating food, but it sure can help a whole lot to fill in the nutrition gaps we all have.
Prenatal
I take this prenatal every day and have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin, hair and nails. Also, you don't need to be trying to conceive to get on this prenatal. Its great for any women because it provides the essential vitamins your body needs.
Vitamin for Hormone Balance
This vitamin has been HUGE for me too. I used to have horrible cystic acne and had started too loose a bunch of hair due to hormone imbalance in my body. I was diagnosed with PCOS and my emotions were everywhere and some days I thought I was going crazy. I would severely break out if I ate dairy or gluten and my whole body was a wreck.
I am SO glad I found this vitamin because it has literally been a game changer for me!
My acne has completely disappeared, I have thick hair again and I feel completely normal - no more mood swings. I would highly recommend this vitamin if you at all struggle with hormone imbalance. I tried everything and this is the only thing that worked to get my vitality back - from the inside out.
This post was all about 5 tips for healthy hair. I hope was helpful to you and would love to hear about your hair journey. If you need any recommendations, I'm happy to help!
